Frequently asked questions

How long does a typical flush cycle take?

We recommend a 1-minute flush cycle per engine. The system automatically regulates flow to ensure all internal cooling passages are cleared. Run the motor for at least 1 minute, then shut that engine off and let the fresh water run for a remainder of at least 10 seconds to allow the fresh water to reverse flow and clean the sea strainer.

Can I run the system while the boat is in the water?

Yes, the system is designed to operate while moored, and ensure the seacock is always left open when flushing.

Do I need special tools for installation?

Standard marine plumbing tools are sufficient. We provide specialised fittings in the kit, but wrenches, screwdrivers, and marine sealant are standard requirements. You will need to ensure all fittings are secure and suit your application, pipe wall thickness, and the clamp sizes provided.
